Hattie King is a Shared Leadership Facilitator with Strategic Learning Initiatives. Hattie provides leadership and administrative support to principals for school-wide academic achievement.  Hattie is a former Chicago Public School principal who led the transformation of Cather Elementary School from low-performing to high-performing.   She has earned numerous recognition and awards including Outstanding Leadership Award from the National Black Caucus, and recognition for having the highest academic gains of all CPS schools in 2007.  During her 34 plus years in education, she has had various opportunities to present strategies for professional development, academic acceleration, and school improvement.  Hattie holds a Master’s Degree in Education and a certificate in Administration and Supervision.  Mrs. King’s recent presentation credits include: NCLB Conference- Chicago, Il (Feb. 2013), School Improvement Panelist -Committees of Congress, Washington D.C. (2010) and Principal Preparation Leadership Conference -New York (June 2009).
