Strategic Learning Initiatives Online Privacy Policy

Strategic Learning Initiatives (SLI) respects the privacy of visitors to its Web site and has developed the following privacy policy to inform visitors about how information is handled once it has been submitted online.

Personal identifying information is not collected from visitors to our site unless this information has been voluntarily provided. All sensitive information sent to SLI is kept confidential. However, please be advised that the SLI Web site will query visitors browsers for certain information, such as

• the domain you are accessing our site from
• the type of PC operating system you use
• the type of browser you use.

This information is used solely to measure and improve our Web site to better serve our learning communities. No individual session data is saved; SLI only uses aggregate statistical data to compile reports.

SLI is committed to using all reasonable efforts to abide by the following Policy statement:

1. Collection. Personally-Identifiable Information will only be collected to the extent that
   SLI deems reasonably necessary to serve a legitimate purpose. SLI never rents, sells, or distributes in any fashion e-mail addresses to outside parties.


2. Cookies. SLI does not use “cookies” to collect any personally-identifiable information.
3. Message Board. Please be aware that if you disclose Personally-Identifiable Information on the Web site message board, that information may be collected and used by third parties without our knowledge and may result in unsolicited communications from third parties. Such activities are beyond the control of SLI.
4. Online Message Forms. When you submit a message to a SLI staff member using the online message forms, the email address supplied in the form will be transmitted and stored.
5. Opt-Out. After you submit an online message form, you may occasionally receive information about SLIs programs unless you choose to opt-out. You may opt-out in response to receiving an email communication.
